The Sandpoint Lacrosse Club aims to provide a sporting environment where all those involved in its activities are treated with dignity and respect, and without harassment or discrimination.
The Sandpoint Lacrosse Club recognizes that all those involved in its activities cannot enjoy themselves, perform to their best, or be effective or fully productive if they are being treated unfairly, discriminated against or harassed because of their sex, marital status, pregnancy, parental status, race, age, disability, homosexuality, sexuality, transgender, religion, political beliefs and/or industrial activity.
The Sandpoint Lacrosse Club will NOT discriminate based on gender. If there is NOT a girls/woman’s program and opportunity for girls to play lacrosse, any female may play with any corresponding and appropriate age group within The Sandpoint Lacrosse Club. However, the North Idaho Lacrosse League that The Sandpoint Lacrosse Club's High School teams participate in DO discriminate based on gender. While high school aged female athletes are more than welcome to play in the High School program, they will not be permitted to play in NILL games. The high school program regularly schedules games throughout the season with non-league opponents in which girls' participation is welcome.
The Sandpoint Lacrosse Club prohibits all forms of harassment and discrimination not only because it is against the law, but because it is extremely distressing, offensive, humiliating and/or threatening and creates an uncomfortable and unpleasant environment.
If any person feels they are being harassed or discriminated against by another person or organization bound by this Policy, please contact a Head Coach, or the Club President immediately.
